WORKS RESUME ON THE UPGRADE OF MUMIAS–MATAWA–INDANGALASIA ROAD TO BITUMEN STANDARDS.

Works on the upgrading of the Mumias–Matawa–Indangalasia Road to bitumen standards have resumed, marking a major step forward in improving connectivity and opening up the region for economic growth.

The road is a vital transport corridor serving farmers, traders, learners and thousands of residents. Once completed, it will ease the movement of people and goods, improve access to markets and essential services, and lower the cost of transport.

The project is in line with H.E. Governor Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, OGW’s infrastructure development agenda, which prioritises the expansion of road networks to support trade, attract investment and improve service delivery across Kakamega County.

Governor Barasa has continued to champion strategic infrastructure investments as a foundation for sustainable economic growth and improved livelihoods, with better road connectivity remaining central to this vision.
