H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa concluded his development tour of Lurambi Sub-county at Shivakala open ground in Shirere Ward, where he engaged the public on various issues affecting them.

The Governor emphasized the upcoming county distribution of subsidized fertilizer and climate-resilient maize seeds in February, urging officers overseeing the exercise, led by Agriculture CECM Mr. Benjamin Andama, to ensure that only local farmers benefit.

About the County Bursary Programme, whose application ended today at 5:00p.m, Governor Barasa directed the Education CECM, Dr. Bonface Okoth, to prioritize the differently-abled learners and most needy cases during the selection of beneficiaries across the 60 Wards.

Lurambi MP Hon. Titus Khamala who accompanied the Governor called on MCAs to work closely with the Country Boss to bring about positive transformation in Kakamega.

The event was also attended by County Officials, MCAs, Advisors, Administrators, among other leaders.
