KAKAMEGA DISPATCH KIAMBU IN KICOSCA OPENER

The Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) Ladies Tug of War defending champion Kakamega County today Monday stunned Kiambu County 2-0 in a pulsating KICOSCA curtain raiser match staged at the Mamboleo stadium in Kisumu County.

The Dorcas Nandwa captained team blew off their competitors sending a strong message to other teams to brace for a tough duel; in adherence to H.E FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa’s message to his fellow Governors’ last Sunday when he flagged off the delegation at the County Headquarters; in the spirit of sportsmanship.

Kakamega County CECM for Social Services, Sports, Youth, Gender and Culture Mr Mophat Mandela who cheered the team to victory at the stadium expressed his optimism that Team Kakamega will carry the County flag high during the seven day festival.

Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts Cabinet Secretary Hon. Ababu Namwamba presided over the opening ceremony.
