COUNTY INSPECTS CONSTRUCTION OF SHINOYI/SHIKOMARI/ESUMEIYA COUNTY POLYTECHNIC.

The County Government of Kakamega, through the Department of Public Works, today conducted a site inspection of the ongoing construction of the Shinoyi/Shikomari/Esumeiya County Polytechnic to assess the progress and quality of works.
Speaking during the inspection, Chief Officer for Public Works, Mr. Pascal Were, reaffirmed the County Government’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure projects that support education and improve service delivery. He urged the contractor to maintain high construction standards and ensure the project is completed within the stipulated timelines.
The KSh. 11M project comprise three classrooms, one administrative office, a 5,000-litre underground water tank, a six-door students’ toilet block, a two-door staff toilet block, and a chain-link perimeter fence with gates. The project is currently 55 percent complete.
Once completed, the modern polytechnic will provide a conducive learning environment for trainees, improve access to technical and vocational education.
