CHIEF OFFICER FAITH GITIRA INSPECTS PROGRESS OF SHIBINGA MODERN MARKET.

The Chief Officer in charge of Trade and Enterprise Development, Ms. Faith Gitira, today conducted a site inspection meeting at the Shibinga Modern Market in Mumias East Sub-county to assess the progress of construction works.

Ms. Gitira commended the contractor for the quality of work completed so far and urged them to fast-track the remaining works to ensure the project is completed and handed over within the stipulated timeline.

She noted that once operational, the modern market will provide a safe, clean, and conducive trading environment for more than 500 traders, enabling them to expand their businesses, increase their incomes, and improve their livelihoods.

The remaining works include the construction of the perimeter wall, external civil works, electrical installation, plumbing, and painting, after which the facility will be ready for use by traders.
