GOVERNMENT REDUCES FERTILIZER PRICE TO KSh 2,000 AS NCPB DELIVERS SUBSIDIZED FERTILIZER ACROSS KAKAMEGA

Kakamega County has received subsidized fertilizer through the National Cereals & Produce Board (NCPB)last-mile delivery programme, with consignments delivered to various distribution points across the County.

Following the Government’s latest price reduction, farmers can now purchase the subsidized fertilizer at KSh 2,000 per 50kg bag, making farm inputs more affordable as farmers prepare for the short rains.

The initiative is part of the efforts by H.E. Governor Fernandes Barasa to support farmers, boost agricultural production, and strengthen food security across Kakamega County.

A total of 16 stores have been identified as fertilizer distribution points across the County, bringing subsidized farm inputs closer to farmers.
