COUNTY EXECUTIVE REVIEWS BUDGET OUTLOOK PAPER

Today, members of the County Executive Committee have discussed the County Budget Review and Outlook paper which is the financial report card on the milestones for the last fiscal year, 2023-2024.

CECM in charge of Finance, Budget, Economic Planning and ICT, CPA Livingstone Imbayi, noted that the meeting is a vital exercise for the government to assess the appropriateness and momentum of development across the County.

The team agreed that going forward the guidelines for resource allocation will be based on ongoing projects and programmes; the degree to which programmes address job creation and poverty reduction; and, the core mandate of the County with a view to complete stalled projects.

Further, CECM Imbayi called on various departments to upscale revenue collection, improve donor and partner relations to reduce overdependence on national government disbursements that have a tendency to delay.

Present at the meeting were CECMs, Chief Officers, Directors, Advisors, CBEF members, among other officers.
