CPA IMBAYI HOSTS EXECUTIVE CSR TEAM ON WOMEN CBO EMPOWERMENT IN IKOLOMANI

County Government of Kakamega’s Executive team led by County Secretary on Saturday 2nd March held the third Community Social Responsibility (CSR) event aimed at Financing Women Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in Ikolomani Subcounty, Idakho Central Ward. The County Secretary thanked Ikolomani CBOs for supporting H.E Governor Fernandes Barasa’s government and pledged to deliver on the executive’s Six Point Agenda.

CECM Finance, CPA Livingston Imbayi, on his part thanked the Executive team that includes all CECMs, all Chief Officers and all Advisors for their monthly contribution to the Kitty. The CSR activity is a rotational exercise in every subcounty of Kakamega county, with the objective of supporting selected projects. The CECM further assured residents of Ikolomani Subcounty of proper representation in the Cabinet in order to achieve equitable resource allocation from the county basket.

The other CECMs present in the event took the opportunity to state the growth of their respective ministries while sensitizing the CBOs on the current happenings in their ministries.

The Executive team gave out a grant of Ksh. 120,000 to each of the four women CBOs present in the function while asking them to use the funds in small Business Enterprise in order to ensure wealth Creation just as stipulated in Governor Fernandes Barasa’s manifesto.

Present in the function were CECM, Public Service and County Administration, Mr. Godfrey Owori, CECM Agriculture Mr. Benjamin Andama, Health CECM Dr. Benard Wesonga, Lands CECM Dr. Mariam Barasa, CECM Trade Mrs. Rachel Atamba, CECM Mrs. Peninah Mukabane of Water, Environment & Sanitation and over 15 Chief Officers .
