EMATIHA ECDE CENTRE NEARS COMPLETION IN NAVAKHOLO
The County Government of Kakamega continues to invest in quality early childhood education through the construction of modern ECDE centres across the county under the leadership of H.E. Governor FCPA Dr. Fernandes Barasa.
Ematiha ECDE Centre in Ingotse-Matiha Ward, Navakholo Sub-County, is among the few remaining projects nearing completion, with the contractor currently undertaking the final finishing works.
Across Kakamega County, the County Government has established 62 modern ECDE centres comprising 124 classrooms. Each facility includes two classrooms, a teachers’ office, a kitchen, a water tank and modern sanitation facilities, providing a safe, child-friendly and conducive learning environment for pre-primary learners.
The investment is part of Governor Barasa’s education agenda aimed at expanding access to quality early childhood education, improving learning infrastructure and giving every child a strong foundation for academic success.
