Former Councilors to receive golden handshake
All Former Councilors in Kenya stand to benefit from a proposed pension scheme should the efforts of the Council of Governors receive approval from the national assembly and the senate.

Governor Oparanya, among other things, urged the councilors to use their positions in society to conduct civic education among the public, particularly on issues regarding the new constitutional dispensation.
Present were the Deputy Governor, H.E Hon. Prof. Philip Kutima, County Secretary Dr. Beatrice Sabana Makanga, Chief of Staff Nabii Nabwera, Political Advisor to H.E the Governor Musa Chibole among other honorable members.
