FRONTLINE STAFF TRAINED ON CUSTOMER CARE

Frontline staff are among the most critical stakeholders who guarantee smooth implementation of services and programmes within any organization.

In an effort to recognize and appreciate their role, the Ministry of Finance,
Planning and ICT has organized a two day capacity building exercise for support staff in the respective departments within the Ministry namely; Finance, Planning, ICT, Microfinance, Investment and Procurement among others.

Finance, Planning and ICT County Executive Dr. Beatrice Sabana opened the workshop where she called on the officers to expand their knowledge through trainings offered within Government. The CECM acknowledged the immesurable duties performed by the staff terming them key to delivery of services in Government.

“As you serve in your current positions, which we really appreciate, l would like you to aspire to become better and the best way to do that is by enrolling for courses in accredited institutions,” she advised.

The officers are being trained on communication skills, interpersonal relations, Government protocol, Vision and Mission of the Ministry and the County Government as a whole and sign language among other key subjects.

In attendance are Director ICT and e-Government Mr. Samwel Wetungu, the Ministry’s Performance Contracting secretariat led by the lead champion Mr. Kelvin Okile and Administrator Sakaya Shitsimi among other Officers and facilitators.
