GOVERNOR BARASA ADVANCES GREEN ENERGY AGENDA AS KAKAMEGA COUNTY HEADQUARTERS GOES SOLAR.

H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa has achieved another milestone in advancing clean and renewable energy following the successful solarisation of the Kakamega County Headquarters.

The project reflects Governor Barasa’s commitment to promoting sustainable development, environmental conservation, and the adoption of green energy solutions across public institutions to improve service delivery.

The newly installed solar power system will serve as a reliable backup power source, supporting uninterrupted service delivery at the County Headquarters while lowering operational costs, reducing the county’s carbon footprint, and promoting the adoption of clean and renewable energy.

Governor Barasa’s administration is also implementing plans to expand solar-powered solutions to street lighting and market lighting across Kakamega County as part of ongoing efforts to improve public services, enhance security, and promote environmentally sustainable development.
