GOVERNOR BARASA ATTENDS EMWANIRO CHURCH SERVICE AND FUNDRAISER IN KISA CENTRAL

H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, OGW, this morning joined Christian faithful at Emwaniro Church of God of East Africa in Kisa Central Ward, Khwisero Sub County, for a Sunday service and fundraising event.

The church continues to play an important role in nurturing faith, strengthening families and promoting values that contribute to responsible and united communities. The service also provided an opportunity for members of the congregation and leaders to come together in support of the church’s growth and development initiatives.

In his address, Governor Barasa thanked the church for its continued role in promoting faith, integrity and responsible leadership in the community. Quoting Proverbs 9:10, he reminded the faithful that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

The Governor highlighted key development projects being implemented across Khwisero Sub County under his administration, including the completed Khukolomani–Ebukwala Road, which has improved connectivity within the area, and the newly constructed theatre at Khwisero Level IV Hospital, which has strengthened the facility’s capacity to provide medical services. He also noted that the County Government is undertaking repairs on 50 kilometres of roads across all wards in Khwisero to improve access to markets, schools, health facilities and other essential services.

On education and water, Governor Barasa highlighted the construction and improvement of ECDE centres, including Emulanda, Emuhaka, Buhiri and Ebushibungo. He also noted progress on the Misango Water Project manager and household connections, as well as the Emutangale Water Project, which are bringing clean and reliable water closer to residents.
