GOVERNOR BARASA ENGAGES TRADERS DURING MEET THE PEOPLE TOUR IN KAKAMEGA TOWN

H.E. Governor FCPA Dr. Fernandes Barasa today conducted a Meet the People Tour in Kakamega Town, where he engaged traders and residents to receive first-hand feedback on issues affecting and shaping the business environment and service delivery.

The Governor visited businesses across the CBD and held discussions with traders on matters affecting their daily operations. He said the County Government remains focused on improving the business environment through better service delivery, enhanced cleanliness, proper waste management, and improved urban infrastructure.

Governor Barasa also inspected the general state of the town and assessed the condition of public facilities and the urban environment. He directed the relevant County departments to address issues identified during the tour to ensure Kakamega Town remains clean, orderly, and conducive for business and investment.

The Governor noted that regular engagement with residents and traders enables the County Government to receive direct feedback, monitor service delivery, and respond to the needs of the people.

The Meet the People Tour is part of the County Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public participation and enhance service delivery across Kakamega County under the Maendeleo na Usawa development agenda.
