GOVERNOR BARASA JOINS AFC LEOPARDS FRATERNITY IN HONOURING ROBERT ANDALA.

H.E. Dr. Fernandes Barasa, FCPA, OGW., this afternoon joined the family, friends, residents of Sichirai area in Shieywe Ward, Lurambi Sub-County, and the AFC Leopards fraternity for the burial and send-off of the late Robert Andala.

Governor Barasa eulogised the deceased as a devoted family man and passionate football supporter whose commitment to AFC Leopards, through the Bukura Shibuli AFC Leopards Branch, reflected the unity and enduring spirit that the sport inspires. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and the entire AFC Leopards fraternity, wishing them strength and comfort during this difficult time.

During the service, Governor Barasa highlighted his administration’s commitment to accelerating development in Shieywe Ward and across Lurambi Sub-County. He cited key projects, including the construction of modern ECDE centres such as Ebambwa, improvement of the road network, the newly commissioned Munyanya Bridge, expansion of water connectivity and other transformative initiatives.

The Governor assured residents that the County Government will continue prioritising development projects and complete stalled projects inherited from the previous administration, including Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega Level Six Hospital and Sichirai Market.

The Governor was accompanied by Members of the County Assembly led by Shieywe Ward MCA Hon. Moses Musundi, Members of the County Executive led by CECM, Ms. Penina Mukabane, alongside other county leaders.
