GOVERNOR BARASA TO COMPLETE PROJECTS INITIATED BY HIS PREDECESSOR
Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa has committed to complete all projects initiated by Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya in the next five years. The Governor was speaking on Sunday when he attended a church service at Marama South Ward in Butere Sub-County.
He informed the congregants that he is on course with fulfillment of the pledges he made to residents key among them completion of the projects initiated by the former County Government regime; mentioning completion and commissioning of Butere Level lV Hospital this year with a fully equipped maternity wing and a functional ambulance as some of the critical assignments in the area in addition to upgrading of all weather roads to bitumen standards.
Some of the yet to be completed projects in the County are Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega County Level 6 Hospital, Milk Processing Plant in Malava Sub-County and a Tea factory in Shinyalu.
FCPA Barasa used the opportunity to implore residents to avoid selling their recently harvested cereals and other farm produce including maize at a cheap price saying the ripple effect will be hunger in the months to come.
