KAKAMEGA CONVENES ENTRY MEETING FOR CONTROLLER OF BUDGET MONITORING EXERCISE.

The County Government of Kakamega on Monday held an entry meeting with officials from the Office of the Controller of Budget (CoB) ahead of the Budget implementation monitoring and evaluation exercise scheduled for 14th–25th September 2026.

The meeting was chaired by County Secretary and Head of Public Service Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka on behalf of Governor Fernandes Barasa and brought together key stakeholders to discuss budget implementation, utilization of operations & maintenance funds, settlement of pending bills, operationalization of the County Assembly Fund and implementation of recommendations from previous monitoring exercises.

Dr. Omuhaka reaffirmed the county’s commitment to transparency, accountability and prudent management of public resources while assuring the CoB of the county’s full cooperation throughout the exercise.
