KAKAMEGA COUNTY ATTRACTING INVESTORS

Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya today visited a private fertilizer blending plant situated at Malava National Cereals & Produce Board. The fertiliser brand, Fanisi Fertilizers, is a dry blend fertilizer for maize, sugarcane & other crops in the western region. The firm has embraced new technology to ensure sustained support for improved crop productivity.

The fertilizer blend is still new in the market and so the manufacturer sought the support of the county in development of “brand fanisi.”

The Governor said Kakamega County Government is steadfast in establishing investment partnerships that will deliver mega investments in dairy, agriculture, water, health, energy, technology and tourism sectors. This, he added, will improve the economy of the county and the region at large though creation of employment opportunities for citizens, availability of high quality products and services at much lower costs, among other benefits.
