KAKAMEGA COUNTY TOPS AGAIN IN 2016 KCPE EXAMS
Kakamega County has once again produced the best student countrywide in this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. Victor Oduor Odhiambo from Daisy Special School for the Physically Handicapped and Vocational Training emerged victorious garnering 437 out of 500 marks to lead the other 942,020 candidates who sat the 2016 KCPE.
Kakamega County Governor H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya congratulated the champion and announced the government’s reward of paying his full year’s school fees.
Governor Oparanya thanked all the education stakeholders in the county for ensuring improvement in this year’s academic results and urged them to ensure that all bright but needy students access timely school fees support from both governments and other institutions.
Victor, who was glad to share some joyful moments with the Governor at the County Headquarters together with his parents appreciated the government’s gesture and promised to keep Kakamega County on the front in the secondary academics. The ever smiling Victor hopes to join Starehe Boys High School to pursue his dream of becoming a neurosurgeon
