Kakamega County witnesses unity of purpose

Speaking at Shibuli Sports grounds in Lurambi Sub-County during a special offertory in aid of the construction of a Bible School in the constituency, Hon. MPs Raphael Otaalo (Lurambi), Andrew Toboso (Butere), Anami Lisamula (Shinyalu), Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East), Bernard Shinali (Ikolomani), Emmanuel Wangwe (Navakholo), Malulu Injendi (Malava), in absentia, Dr. Enoch Kibunguchy (Likuyani), Benjamin Andola, (Khwisero) and Rachel Ameso (County MP) pronounced to work together with Kakamega County Governor H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya in actualizing devolution. The honorable members condemned corruption in all terms possible and challenged the President, H.E Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta to quickly crack the whip.

Addressing thousands of residents and members of Church of God present at Shibuli on Sunday, Kakamega County Governor Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya embraced the move by the Honorable Members of Parliament saying political parties should not divide the house of Mulembe across the county and the larger Western region. Governor Oparanya continued with his campaign of voter registration and asked all the residents of age to ensure they be registered now, before the 15th March 2016 deadline, in readiness for the General Election next year.

Other distinguished guests present included, County Secretary Dr. Beatrice Makanga Sabana, Hon. MCA’s (30 members) led by the Leader of Majority Hon. Robert Makhanu and host MCA Hon. Linston Ambundo, Fmr. MP Manyala Keya, Dr. Isaac Litali, Mr. Stanley Livondo; Bishop Titus Khamala, Bishop Nicholas Olumasai, the host Right Reverend Ernest Kitayi of Church of God Kenya Ingotse Mission, among other dignitaries. A total of KShs.1.6m was collected and handed over to security for banking.
