Kakamega County today hosted the National Agricultural Value Chains Development Program (NAVCDP) Investor Deal Room , bringing together Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), investors, agribusinesses, financial institutions, development partners, and the World Bank to foster strategic partnerships in agriculture.

‎Convened by MicroSave Consulting (MSC), Micro Enterprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT), and Tegemeo Institute, the forum served as a business matchmaking platform aimed at unlocking investment, expanding market linkages, promoting business-to-business engagements, and creating co-financing opportunities across the county’s priority agricultural value chains.

‎The participating Farmer Producer Organizations showcased investment opportunities in avocado, dairy, poultry, bananas, and apiculture. They included Likuyani Horticulture, Namulima Dairy, Springfield Dairy, Bendera General, Mumbo Avocado, Murhanda Poultry, Shinyalu Avocado, Ikolomani Dairy, Khwisero Dairy, and Mumias East Bee FPOs.

‎The event was chaired by CECM for Agriculture, Mr. Mophat Mandela, who urged Farmer Producer Organizations to embrace commercial agriculture, value addition, and sound governance to attract investment and compete in emerging markets.
