PAY HIKE FOR ECDE TEACHERS STARTING 2018,
Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers in Kakamega County will from next year receive a 15-25% salary increment for the highly and lowly paid teachers respectively.
The announcement by H.E the Governor reiterates the county government’s commitment to ensure a better foundation for the young school going children in the county. The Governor has on most occasions explained that the growth of any county and country relies on educated constituents and workforce thus his resolve to invest in education.
In addition to salary increment, the government will as well hire more ECDE teachers and their terms and conditions of service improved through a new scheme of service.
