PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING WORKSHOP COMES TO A CLOSE
The two day mid year Performance Contracting review workshop for the Ministry of ICT, e-Government and Communication came to a close today afternoon in Kisumu.
The workshop that was officially opened on Wednesday morning and closed on Thursday evening by the CECM Dr. George Lutomia addressed among other issues the PC targets, 1st & 2nd Quarter Reports of the PC and sensitization of staff on Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) and e-Procurement among others. The staff were also sensitized on importance of preventing Corruption at the workplace, Gender Based Violence and Disability mainstreaming as well as National Cohesion and values.
In his address, Dr. Lutomia challenged his staff to ensure they attain their targets in a timely manner as indicated in the PC and Staff Appraisal documents.
He said the Ministry plays an integral role as an enabler of all the other ministries hence the need to observe timelines and professionalism.
Chief Officer Eugene Wamalwa said every staff member is required to append their signatures to the performance tools and issued a stern warning to non-conformists.
In attendance also was the Service Delivery Chief Officer Amb. James Ochami, Advisor in the Office of the Governor Musa Chibole, Director Communication Mr. Dickson Rayori and his counterpart at the ICT & e-Government docket Mr. Samwel Wetungu among others.
