PREPARATIONS ONGOING AHEAD OF BISHOP SULUMETI’S GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION

H.E the Deputy Governor Hon. Ayub Savula on Wednesday led a team of County Government officials and the National Government’s County Security team in inspecting Bukhungu International Stadium, ahead of the Episcopal Golden Jubilee Celebration of the retired Kakamega Catholic Church Bishop Emeritus Philip Sulumeti, slated for Saturday 29th Oct. 2022.

The organising Committee is chaired by the Deputy Governor on behalf of the Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa and is comprised of County Government officials CECMs; Rachel Okumu and Dr George Lutomia, CS&HPS Amb. James Ochami, COs; (Rtd.) Col. Job Akhulia and Madam Doreen Amwoga, County Security team and National Government officials led by DCC Kakamega Central Mr Ngalia Ndaya and Catholic Church Bishops led by Fr. Boniface Mumbwanga.

The event will be presided over by the Pope’s representative, the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya Most Rev. Herbertus Mathews Maria van Megen.
