REFLECTION ON TEN YEARS OF DEVOLUTION

I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and esteemed participants of the inaugural high-level meeting between the Council of Governors and Senators to review the transformative journey of devolution over the past decade.

The theme of the two-day meeting that commenced today in Naivasha is “Enhancing Collegiality Between the Senate and the Council of Governors: Opportunity for Stock-taking Ten Years into Devolution.”

The first day was enlightening and productive, and has shed light on the achievements, challenges, and future prospects of devolution in our nation.
