Fellow citizens of Kakamega county and Kenya at large, the last voter registration exercise for potential electorates in this year’s general elections is scheduled for 16th January till 14th February.

I take this opportunity to appeal to those of us who have not registered as voters to do so and continue to encourage those despaired with the current state of life emanating from bad leadership to participate fully in this historic excercise. Also remember to assist persons with disability, the aged and the sick to successfully acquire their voters cards.

If you had applied for a national identity card, please check with your area Chief or Assistant Chief and collect your ID card so that you too can make vital governance decisions for both our county and the nation on 8th August this year.

So as to register as a voter, you need either your ID card or a valid Passport and present yourself at the registration center in your Ward.

May God bless you as you make the right step in the right direction.

H.E Hon. Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya, EGH
First Governor Kakamega County
