ALARM RAISED OVER TEEN PREGNANCIES IN KAKAMEGA

Kakamega County First Lady H.E Prof Janet Kassily Barasa has implored parents to educate their children moreso during this holiday season.

Prof. Kassily said this at Lubao, Malava Sub-County on Wednesday amid reports that Kakamega is ranked second highest in teen pregnancies prevalence nationally. She expressed her willingness to cooperate with partners both in Government and Non-profit organisations to reduce the cases with an aim of bringing to zero the prevalence cases in the County.

Prof. Kassily further expressed her concern over the new HIV/AIDS infections among young people imploring parents not to relent in giving guidance to their children.
