COUNTY INDUCTS THE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Members of the County Human Resource Management Advisory Committee (CHRMAC) on Saturday completed a three day induction workshop organized by the Ministry of Public Service and County Administration (PSA) to upskill them on how to handle County Government staff issues.

The CECM for PSA Mr. Lawrence Omuhaka who graced the closing ceremony thanked the Officers for their active participation and advised them to ensure all their activities are properly documented. On departmental Performance Management, Mr Omuhaka who is a Human Resource guru asked the Officers to put in place measurable and realistic performance targets in consultation with the sectoral performance contracting champions to achieve optimum results.

County Secretary and Head of Public Service (CS) Dr Boniface Okoth on his part challenged the Committee members to ensure enhanced service delivery in their respective departments to the benefit of the residents; focussing on H.E Governor Fernandes Barasa’s six point agenda.

CHRMAC is composed of all Chief Officers, the County Attorney and chaired by the County Secretary and Head of Public Service.

Some of the topics they were taken through include; training and development, welfare and benefits as well as leadership and integrity for Government officers. Dr Henry Wati, a PC Expert enlightened them on the guidelines of performance contracting, negotiation and vetting while the seasoned governance specialist Mr Musa Ali Chibole took them through protocol and etiquette.
