COUNTY TO ESTABLISH OFFICE OF THE CHAPLAIN

The County Government of Kakamega will soon establish the Chaplaincy mandated with offering spiritual wellness. This was revealed by H.E FCPA Governor Fernandes Barasa during a Church service at St. Luke Bumini Catholic Church, Mumias East Sub-County where he said the Chaplaincy will offer general support and guidance to staff and other stakeholders while drawing attention to the spiritual values within the various faiths.

H.E Governor Barasa stated that there was need for services of a spiritual nature at the County over and above the other services offered with regards to service delivery to residents.

The County boss used the platform to caution individuals who have filed court cases challenging the resuscitation of Mumias Sugar factory adding that efforts by any stakeholder aimed at reviving the miller will be supported.

He once again said that every region in the County will be given equal development in line with his “Maendeleo na Usawa” slogan. Shianda-Malaha road, the Governor announced, will be tarmacked by the County to enhance communication between the area and the Sub-Counties of Matungu and Navakholo as well as the neighbouring Bungoma County.
