GOVERNOR BARASA CALLS FOR COLLABORATION TO ACHIEVE DEVELOPMENT
Kakamega Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa has reiterated the need for elected leaders in the larger Western region to collaborate with the National Government to achieve the much needed development for the benefit of the residents.
Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony in Shinyalu Sub-County on Sunday, Governor Barasa noted that campaign time is over and urged leaders to focus on fulfilling the pledges they made to the electorate during the 2022 general polls.
He expressed his willingness to cooperate with all leaders on development matters and revealed that Western region Governors have agreed to support the Kenya Kwanza Government.
FCPA Barasa also called on leaders to shun divisive politics and assured that he will complete all stalled projects in Kakamega County in his first term.
The ceremony that brought together 30 churches in Shinyalu Sub-County collected Ksh 11 Million.
In attendance were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Moses Wetangula, MPs, MCAs’, CECMs and other distinguished leaders.
