𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐄𝐅 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐅𝐅 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄.

𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒.
Mr. Kassim Ali Were has assumed the role of Chief of Staff in the County Government of Kakamega, after being appointed by HE. FCPA Fernandes Barasa.

County Secretary & Head of Public Service, Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka, presided over the brief ceremony, which was attended by the CECM for Public Service and Administration, Mr. Godfrey Owori, and the Chief Officer for Public Service, CHRP Priscah Otipa.

Mr. Were, who served in the previous administration as the CECM for Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, as well as Social Services, Sports, Youth, Gender, and Culture, takes over from Mr. Isaac Omungo, who is transitioning to the Lake Region Economic Bloc Secretariat based in Kisumu County.

Mr. Were now oversees H.E the Governor’s itinerary and the overall welfare of county staff.

In his pledge, Mr. Were expressed his commitment to utilizing his extensive experience in public service and the corporate world to ensure the realization of the Governor H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa’s development agenda for the residents of Kakamega County, as well as addressing staff grievances.
