The Public Participation forums, initiated in Likuyani Sub-county some months ago have proven invaluable for the County Government of Kakamega. Engaging directly with residents has allowed the County to address their concerns and provide meaningful responses.

As the exercise comes to a conclusion in the 12th public engagement session held at Murhanda market grounds in Shinyalu Sub-County, Governor Fernandes Barasa has pledged to reflect on and integrate the ideas gathered into his governance strategies and plans. He has expressed gratitude to County officials and NGAO, for dedicating their time to participate in this crucial initiative aligned with his sixth pillar on Good Governance.

The Governor has also thanked the residents of Kakamega County, promising that their diverse needs will be considered in the fulfilment of his Administration’s CIDP, including today’s public plea for completion of Madala Tea Factory and Shiamakhubu Level 4 Hospital for Shinyalu Sub-County residents.
