Governor Barasa Hosts KETRACO Delegation to Enhance Power Stability in Kakamega County

H.E. Governor Fernandes Barasa hosted a delegation from the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO) led by the Company CEO Eng. John Mativo to discuss power enhancement and stability in Kakamega County.

The talks focused on addressing the rising electricity demand across the 12 constituencies of Kakamega County, which often face power challenges due to adverse weather conditions.

KETRACO outlined plans to upgrade the Kibos-Kakamega-Musaga transmission line, with public participation set for March. The project will also enhance fiber optimization.

Present at the meeting were County Executive members, led by County Secretary Dr. Lawrence Omuhaka.
