OFFICERS STEP UP EFFORTS TO ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY

The CECM for Finance, Planning and ICT Dr. Beatrice Sabana has implored on the Ministry’s Performance Contracting Management team to embrace documentation and provide evidence of the tasks accomplished within their respective Units.

The County Executive made the remarks during the official opening of a three day workshop for the Ministry’s Performance Management team, convened to review and assess the level of implementation of Performance Contracting (PC) for the Financial Year 2020/21.

Performance Contracting, she observed, is key in improving staff efficiency, effectiveness and service delivery directing the officers to make follow ups and give feedback of the tasks assigned.

“This should not be a gateway though for you not to perform other critical roles you have been assigned; we expect every duty to be executed promptly and satisfactorily,” she stated.

The Ministry is aiming at improving its performance and enhancing service delivery to both internal and external publics.

In attendance were Directors; Mr. Samwel Wetungu of ICT & e-Government, Madam Elizabeth Asichi the Ag. Deputy Director Kakamega County Investment Development Agency, Mr. Sakaya Shitsimi, Administrator ICT, Mr. Kelvin Okile the Ministry’s Lead PC Champion and Madam Mildred Wanyama, a PC Champion from the office of the CECM, Accountants, among other Officers.
